Hi Steve,

They appear to be egg cases of the turrid Megesurcula carpenteriana.
I can provide an image of this species with an egg case, from the very
same location,
should this interest you.

It is a fairly common sand dwelling turrid in this vicinity...not too
mention quite beautiful.

In addition, I have a specimen of what you believe to be Ophiodermella
inermis on the same page.
It was collected offshore from Del Monte Reef. I'll have to go back and
see what I may have identified it as.
