David,
Wasn't she just amazing? I still think of her often. I have a copy of her
poems and autobiography. She gave me some shells (and sand) as well.
Janthina pallida, globosa. and exigua, and a Murex recurvirostris rubidus.
And some black sand from Hawaii.

She was an incredibly talented artist and my wish for life will always be to
emulate her style and grace. Her daughter and family still live in NJ. Her
collection was unbelievable. It's great to meet someone who thought the
same.

Best regards,
Claudette

Just to note that Ethelyn Woodlock was the one true shell collector in
northern NJ that I knew of when I was growing up. She helped me identify
some of my shells, wowed me with her collection, and gave me such unusual
items as Atlanta peroni.
