I'm glad to see someone else reveal doubts about the species in this genus.

I have never been happy with the accepted "species" of Harpa, and
suspect that most are synonyms... I await cladistic & molecular work!

Beyond bad species, hybridization of the good ones is far from
unlikely... and it is possible that some of the accepted species may
have originated by breeding hybrids (a hybrid-breeding program would
be needed to test this, but has been shown to occur with orchids).
