I was wondering if I had not been too ironical in my two latest posts after
Guido's , happily it seems that I was not :-) . If I agree that there is no
science in terminology however there is terminology in science , that is why
I found that it might be useful to give the definition of a population in
Genetics since it has nothing to do with the density of individuals per
square metre . Gijs , it was worth waiting for your very interesting and
well documented contribution ;-) . Franck

OK Franck (and others) if I chocked some people, then I apologize to them. I
also want to point out we are speaking about animals, not about humans. But
this gopher is for fun and to learn something. There is no science in
terminology. I thought below is interesting. I'm reading too much things
about shell written by people who only spend their holidays occasionally
near the sea and who have no idea about how the situation in the field is.
So, they may be interested. Don't stress. Guido
