Ümit,
I don't understand what difference it makes which way the aperture is
turned; you can't get more or less whorls by turning the shell around.

Look at the shell from above & count the whorls starting at the protoconch,
just like you would count the whorls of any other shell. it doesn't matter
whether it is a clausiliid or helicid.
