Rick,

 I think that those Pectens may be Juvenile Crassadoma giganteus, the Purple
Hinged Rock Scallop. Juveniles resemble C. Hastata until they are around
40mm but they are usually brown or orange.

I have sent you a picture of a growth series. The larger (bottom) specimen
is key since the juvenile shell is still clearly visible on the adult shell.

If any one else would like the picture, send me a e-mail, or maybe, Rick can
post it. Very nice colors for a species that is usually kind of ugly.
