Yes, I am still a shell collector, and a card-carrying
member of the Boston Malacological Club, which still
meets at the Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard
U., Cambridge MA--first Tuesday of the month, Oct-May.

For those of you who know me only through my studies
in molluscs, you might be surprised to learn that
malacology has become my hobby and paper sculpture has
become my profession. Look at www.origamido.com to see
what I have been up to.

While I am addressing the forum I would like to ask if
there are any of you who knew Doctors William J.
Clench and Ruth D. Turner, and have any historical
connection with the Boston Malacological Club (BMC).
The BMC will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in
the year 2010! We would love to have access to photos
and historical items that concern our club. Please
let me know privately via my email address

We are always looking for new speakers for our
meetings. If you are interested and able please
contact me about next year's calendar. Our next
meeting, May 2nd, is our auction meeting--no speaker.
Guests are welcome to attend. Donations of shells and
books for the auction, which benefit the Clench &
Turner fund, are welcome on the meeting night.

All the best.
