Indeed, one needs to keep the customers happy!

Somewhere in an issue of the HSN (between 1960 and 1970, I think) is a mention
of a more altruistic "salting" of a hawaiian beach. A well-meaning couple felt
that Waikiki Beach should have more shells than it did, thus giving visitors a
more enjoyable stay. Needless to say, many of those shells were NOT of Hawaiian
origin.

Perhaps Wes recalls just which issue that report was in...
