As has been pointed out by Mr. Caro, Microsoft products will create
*hugely bloated*_**_ "pseudo-HTML" code - so they are useless for the
times when one wishes to do anything economically along these lines. So,
you need an application which produces "clean", sparse coding in order
to post to the list. The best i've found so far, is a Mac program
called "Visual Page", which uses basic, completely unornamented HTML -
as clean as it gets. Dreamweaver is also very good, but very
expensive. Mozilla (available in both Mac and PC versions) has both a
decent HTML editor and an easy to use HTML email composer which is
pretty clean - not quite as compact as Visual page, but certainly
_*far*_* *better than any Microsoftie stuff. // Of course you can always
just create your own coding by hand - all of the above are "WYSIWYG" -
what you see is what you get: the word-processing approach to HTML. If
you do it yourself, you can get clean, perfect code and just insert it
into the email message body if your email client permits you to do so.

 From Frosty old New Scotland,
ross mayhew.
