There are several brands available - this is the one I use

It works well for close-ups on my Coolpix. For my main camera (Nikon D70S) I use a regular ring
flash with two slave flashes.

Marcus,

You mentioned in your postings about the Nikon Coolpix camera. I have an S9 that I got about 11
months ago and I love it. It's a small compact camera with 3x zoom and 6.1 megapixels. I can get
decent close up shots to within I believe 1 inch then of course, fuzziness. Most of that problem
lies in the lighting, and you mentioned the LED ring. Can you send a picture of what that looks
like and brand/make info? I'm learning some semi-advanced ( real meaning > I can take a photo but
I'm not that good at it ) photography and wondered if that would be a good investment for me.

Sincerely, Lyle Therriault
