I have a pdf-file of a new article on the more than 405 years old Arctica
islandica found off shore in Iceland a few years ago. This is most likely
the oldest animal ever found. Send me a message if you are interested in
receiving a copy, [log in to unmask] The reference is:

Wanamaker, A.D., J. Heinemeier, J.D. Scourse, C.A. Richardson, P.G. Butler,
J. Eiríksson, K.L. Knudsen, 2008, Very long-lived mollusks confirm 17th
century AD tephra-based radiocarbon reservoir ages for North Icelandic shelf
waters. Radiocarbon, 50, 399-412.

With best wishes,

Páll Einarsson
