Through the perseverence of Marlo Krisberg of Merritt Island, the Peanut
Island
Marine Mollusk Checklist has again been updated - bringing the total species
recorded from that locality to 349.
 
In light of the fact of the plans that the Palm Beach Government has for
this
unique locality (it doesn't sound good for the molluscan fauna), it would
appear
that chronicling the species which have been found there takes on even more
significance.
 
Anyone who thinks that they have collected a species within the Palm Beach
Inlet which is not currently on the Jacksonville Shell Club maintained list
