Speaking of National Geographic, the July 1949 issue has a large
article on shells from all over the world with dozens of colour plates.
It seems sort of an unusual feature for a National Geographic. I suppose
it's more of a curiosity than anything for those who collect shell
literature. I don't currently collect old shell literature but maybe
I'll start.
