Dear all, I just received my P. westralis in the mail,
and man, I have heard before that they almost lack color,
but this beats the odds! It has a wonderful finely beaded texture
with a cream white background and orange streaks, decorated even
more by the nacreous interior showing through. Also, when I removed
the cotton plug with the operculum on it from the aperture, a second
operc fell out!
I have the faintest idea where it came from. It also has a man-repaired
break, but it
is so well repaired that it can only be seen with a hand lens.

Kind Regards James
