I want to congratulate Andrew Rindsbury for his comments on museum exhibits.
I have felt this way for quite some time but could not have said it better.
The interesting aspect is that I am currently the volunteer director of a
history museum in our city and have tried to keep the old style exhibits.
But the museum board which includes a couple of teachers feel that the
'interactive' or 'tell them everything' style is better. So the conflict is
ongoing. Just like Mr. Rindsbury, my wife and I enjoy looking at a
collection with information but not be told what to notice or remember.

Thanks for saying it so well!

Glenn Burghardt
