Andrew, Once when they pumped in sand at North Beach restoring the
beach while killing millions of shells, I found about 30 pair of Semele
purpurascens with dead animal inside. I've found Papyridea soleniformis
pairs on Clearwater Beach and at John's Pass. One pair at each place.
That was years ago. Also a pair of Tellina magna. My daughter was with
me and she actually found it. She was around 7 years old. She is now
40. Those were the days.
