Back to the endangered species list. I know of only 3 marine --I knew
Strombus gigas was, but didn't realize that you really do need a permit to
send it, according to Gary Rosenberg, if I understood him correctly, he
said that putting "cleaned seashells, on loan, no commercial value" doesn't
work like it use to, especially when it comes to the endangered ones.
Before when I posted the question, a friend in England had his package of
shells taken because according to him the package contained species of the
Genera Tridacna and a Hippopus, didn't know at the time about Hippopus. But
Gary agreed with that. The shells were sent by a dealer in California.
That's all I know about it.
So if anyone knows of any other shells that are on the list I would
appreciate knowing about them.
