Dear all,
Just a quick question. I collected 7 limpets of one species in Jaco
Beach, Costa Rica, a town about 50 miles southeast of Puntarenas. They are
between 15 and 48 mm, have very strong brown ribs, and have a whitish muscle
scar on the inside surrounded by a thin ring of pale brown. Is this a
juvenile form Patella mexicana, or is it another Acmaea limpet?
