In magasine ROSSINIANA, October 1986 N° 33 page 2O. José LAUER study the
complexe "TEXTILE" and write :

Conus textie var.abbreviata Dautzenberg,1937 - Nomen novum for C.vicarius
Lamarck 1810.Because of the rule of priority,this last one being caduc.(See
vicarius and
neovicarius).The identification of C.vicarius by Dautzenberg is a
mistake,this last one being a form of C.ammiralis and not of C.textile.
