Hi Avril and April, and other blacklighters,

Conch-L's own Paul Monfils has written his column for the upcoming
September issue of American Conchologist on fluorescence in molluscs.   It
would be a good candidate for posting on the COA website after publication
too. I haven't seen the pictures, but Paul's column is well illustrated.
It discusses the phenomenon of fluorescence in shells and a likely
explanation for it, and also goes into equipment and technique for
blacklight use, so be sure to see a copy.
