A good book for eastern U.S. & the Caribbean is "Echinoderms of Florida and
the Caribbean - Sea stars, sea urchins, and the allies" by Hendler et al.,
Smithsonian Press. It's a recent book, but I don't remember the exact year.
Some of the species may be common to the Indo-Pacific area.
