Well after reviewing the "press release " it appears that the Army Corps of
Engineers has a plan that will include a shallow water reef in the idea of
providing a refuge of sorts for fishes and other oceanic species . They do
recognize the molluscan residence though they didn't mention removing the
residents to a safe place until the project is accomplished. Lets just hope
that the strombus hit the bricks and did a mass exodus. as for the sea grass
die-off they (the army) recognize the need for this habitat so I looks like
they plan to replant or maybe they will just have some roll-out sea grass
like those instant lawns .this island was man made so maybe it's a strain to
the environment to start with . Here's a question for those of higher
education , should a man made habitat be afforded the same rights to exist
as a natural habitat?
ferreted yet another day away , after all E , we don't work remember. oh
and see you all at the GMSC's annual auction to benefit their shell show.
lots of food , fun , oh and neat shells like a slit shell , can't say where
it came from but it's really nice , those wishing to attend , show up at the
north miami Jaycees hall in north miami.
