A thought...
"Themed" license plates run rampant in Florida, promoting interests ranging
from Tarpon fishing to the Florida Marlins.  The only shell plate that I have
seen is for the University of Southwest Florida, and displays a Nautilus!
I've never understood, with the plethora of plates promoting every cause from
Manatees to Cougars available in this state, why there is not one for the
Queen Conch?  The thing would sell like wildfire (the Keys alone would
probably sell the plate out), and maybe some $$$ could be raised to assist in
the preservation and continuation of the species!
Climbing down from the bandwagon...
