Yep, and the Japanese don't consider kudzu a pest either, it's used in all
kinds of ways.
When I was a kid, most Americans thought mussels and squid were fit only for
bait. Now they are gourmet fare. It's a three step process; first we don't
appreciate 'em, then we discover 'em, then we fish them out of existance.
