As requested as a new subscriber to CONCH-L I am posting a brief
introduction. I have been a member of COA since the early 80's and have

attended a number of conventions. I am an active member and officer of
a
shell club. My primary shell family interests are: Epitoniums,
Latiaxus,
Muricidae and Spondylidae--the textured and frilly shells. However, my
collection includes mollusks from many other families, both purchased
and
self-collected.

I love travel; shallow water collecting; walking sand flats; and
snorkeling.
I have collected on the Texas and Florida Coasts, Costa Rica, Fiji and
the
Philippines.

For the past several years I have been unable to pursue my study,
cataloging,
and collecting of shells. CONCH-L appears to be another great resource
to
keep in touch with the wonderful world of mollusks.
