  Just a quick answer to your question. I am sorry I have not had too much
time to answer or even read my e-mails lately. No, nodosus gabonensis is not a
synonym of corallinoides as far as any written literature, that is.  Not
having seen a specimen of nososus gabonensis though, I would not want to make
a firm comment as to it's validity, but  I am assuming it is a valid species.
The size of the holotype mentioned in the original description is larger than
corallinoides usually gets. The unfortunate thing about the original
description is that is was not written in a scientific manner. No hinge
photos, no sculptural detail etc. which makes it difficult to make a correct
assessment in comparison to other species.
