We use FMP for the mollusc collection at Ohio State. It is very easy to
use, but not as flexible as Access. However, it does so many things that we
have never considered moving to Access. Although FMP has no real
programming as in Access, it does allow for custom "scripts" - essentially
subroutines. Within our collection management database we can print custom
reports, labels, arrange loans, etc. In my opinion, FMP will do 95% of what
you might want in a collection management program. We have nearly one
million specimens in our FMP database, as well as our reprint collection.
All of the online databases for our collection are FMP (but see below). And
of course the interchangeability (is that a word?) between Macs and PC's is
great.

Note that the regular version of FMP does enable you to post your database
on the web. However, the simultaneous user capacity is VERY limited,
probably by design. To successfully post a database with more-or-less
unlimited user number, you will need to buy the much more expensive web
production version. We use this version for the online databases at our
website. Please try them out to see what they look like.

But, to answer your question: FMP allows for the insertion of images and
video for any record.
