Subject: [CONCH-L] Mollusks

Theresa,

Here comes a shameless plug for a book that I helped edit. If you want to
learn something about Mollusks check out:

Sturm, CF, TA Pearce, and A Valdes. 2006. The Mollusks: A Guide to Their
Study, Collection, and Preservation. Universal Publishers, Boca Raton, FL.
445 pp.

You can check it out on Amazon.com

It covers many aspects of malacology. There is some information on the
molluscan animal in the chapters on individual groups of mollusks (4 chap
for gastropods, three for bivalves, one chap each for Aplacophora,
Monoplacophora, Polyplacophora, Cephalopoda, and Scaphopoda) and in the
chapter on maintaining an aquarium. The book was written for the American
Malacological Society and all profit goes to them.

If you have any questions about the book, let me know. If there is a
particular chapter that you might be interested in, let me know. I may be
able to send you that chapter to check out.

Regards,
Charlie
