The freshwater shark in Lake Nicaragua is somewhat controversial but I believe the consensus recently has been that they are bull sharks that are able to move upstream from more saline environment on the coast.

But Lake Atitlan was formed in a highlands caldera with no connection to the sea. Ahem, well, we can say that it doesn't sound like bull shark. Do you have a source on a Lake Atitlan shark?
