John,

Allonautilus perforatus can be differentiated from Nautilus
scrobiculatus by the distinct wrinkles radiating from the umbilicus
on each side. The surface of the shell seems almost wavy (certainly
not a technical term!). Though now known from more than a few
specimens, it is still quite rare in Indonesian waters.
