Hi Harry,

Go to: www.cites.org
This is the site for the Congress on International Trade in Endangered
Species

On the home page, half way down the left column, click on "cites species"
You will get the list of "listed" species.
When it is finishes loading, use the bar on the right side to scroll down
about 80% of the way and you should come to mollusks after the insects and
arthropods.

After all of this you will find that the only two listed mollusks are the
Queen Conch and the Green Tree Snail. However, there are many other species
that are protected by local laws or individual countries. These would have
to be found by visiting the wildlife management department of each country.

Best wishes,

Dennis Sargent

Dear Listers,

How may I find out the American mollusks currently protected under
the provisions of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) of 1973?

How about those taxa that are being evaluated by the US Fish and
Wildlife Service (USFWS) in consideration for such protected?

Harry
