Dear CONCH-Listers,

The Mollusk Section at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History is giving away non-archival (i.e. regular acidic) specimen boxes as we move our collection into archival boxes. Right now, we have a large stock of free boxes, and we will be gathering more. Our sizes of free boxes are approximately:

White
Small (3 x 1" up to 3 x 1 7/8")
Small-medium (3 x 2.5" up to 3 x 3.5")
Long (3 x 5" up to 3 x 6")
Large square (6 x 6")
And a few larger

Black
Small (2 7/8 x 1 13/16")
Small-medium (3.75 x 2 11/16")
Medium (3.75 x 5.75")
Large (5 5/8 x 7.5")
And a few larger

To make a request, please state the approximate numbers of the sizes of boxes you would like. (If you require very specific sizes, ask.) If requests outstrip the number of boxes we have available, we will put you on a waiting list. We would appreciate reimbursement of the cost of shipping but do not require it.
