Thanks, Jim.
Yes, I am interested. But I need to know costs if you are offering to sell your copy. The school has a collection of landsnail shells of which quite a few are Cuban, but only about a dozen shell species are (apparently) Urocoptidae. I'm a volunteer amateur shell collector trying to get this mess identified and organized.

The donor died in 1964 and when the shells were moved from his home in Massachussetts in 1966, the movers separated labels from the shells despite being told not to do so. As a result, some labels were lost. I believe the collector self-collected his Urocoptis shells but wasn't able to identify the species.

Add to that the fact that in some boxes several species were combined together with just a genus and (sometimes) a general location, and you get an idea of how difficult this is. Our hope is to make the collection of use as a teaching tool for local schools, and have a nice display.

We intend to photograph the collection (total of about 40,000 to 60,000 shells including marine and fresh water) and put this data up on the internet. But I want to be as accurate as possible before we begin that step. Arizona State University has no Marine Biology or related courses, and as a result, the budget is so small for this project that I'm struggling to get materials that could be of use..

Thanks,
Dale Snyder
