Dear ConchLers...

After long and repeated quests in books and Internet, I conclude that
Thais/Thalessa/Mancinella aculeata can be pictured or described as
Mancinella/Thalessa/Thais echinata, and vice versa.

For a given set of similar images, nobody seems using the same genus
name (WoRMS vs DigitalMurex), and nobody uses the same species name.

Some years ago, I discovered that I had echinatas. But later, I had to
admit that they were virgatas. So I changed pics and names. Today I
learn they are aculeatas again (or indeed, or actually, and even
eventually). This becomes a bit disappointing, to say nothing of some
possible annoyance.

So, what are exactly:

Thais, Thalessa or Mancinella ... aculeata ?
and/or/but/with/without/XOR
Thais, Thalessa or Mancinella ... virgata ?

Any answer will be accurately examined! Please do not hesitate to post
very different opinions :)

Cheers

Olivier Caro
