If you stumble into some and have what you have with you or at home -
diatoms in the white power form used in pool filters - are small glass
sharp edge things. They will kill fleshy slugs/snails and worms. One
uses that at a last resort due to the impact. Digging up and disposing
of it might be a good solution afterwards. Digging a hole and storing it
there
is good - beneath the surface and topsoil.
An old treatment - salt. Dries them out.
Any slug killer would work.
But again any treatment might just take out locals and useful ones.
But sometimes harsh measures are needed.
