Bouchet and Rocroi (2005) list Pyrgidiidae Neumayr, 1869 as a
suppressed senior synonym of Emmericiinae (in the nomenclator under
those and in the classification). Pyrgulinae Brusina, 1882 has an
unexplained (1869) with it. The references I could find to Pyrgidium
synonymized it with Pyrgulus, which would suggest that Pyrgidiidae and
Pyrgulinae ought to be in the same subfamily. Does anyone know if
Pyrgidiidae was supposed to be suppressed as a senior synonym of
Pyrgulidae instead? I'm also wondering whether Pyrgulus nodoti and
nodotianus are separate taxa or an incorrect and correct spelling.
