Dear Conchlers,
There was an error in my first request to you. The Chicoreus microphyllus
was not from NE-Taiwan, but
from Cebu / Philippines. Nevertheless I am not sure of this species and I
believe it is
Chicoreus torrefactus. Any idea.

Dear Conchlers,
any idea, please.
Recently I got from Taiwan a shell with the name Chicoreus microphyllus.
For me its seems to be a
smaller specimen of Chicoreus torrefactus. Is Chicoreus microphyllus living
in NE-Taiwan. I am not
sure.
Recently I got from Australia (W-Australia) a shell with the name Chicoreus
rubiginosus. But in
confronting it with a picture in the Compendium of seashells it looks like
Chicoreus trivialis.
Are the very similar, Chicoreus trivialis looks more slender and higher.
If you have an idea, please e-mail me.
Thanks for information and with best shelling greetings
Helmut
