I have to start this letter telling that I am sorry to open this matter
again, but I cannot do otherwise; I have been personally attacked and, when
I wrote to Conch-L to say about the blackout of my e-mail, this person had
not the courtesy to send again the message, so expressing his opinion to
everybody except the direct interested!
So, I have to underline that:
1) Mr. Brosio has every right to express his opinion and I have every right
to disagree with him; I don't like to collect only dead or beached shells,
nor the most of people on Conch-L. If Mr. Broiso has ever bought a gem
shell, he should think that it has been "turned out" from its "house" by
somebody else.
2) Irony (and the courage to use it) is not against the rules of the list.
3) The real excess is in words and sentences like: "shocked" (really!) or
"uncharitable and outright nasty tone...", while "uncivil remarks" is
border-line with defamation.
4) The final consideration about children ("shocked" them also? And by
what?) deserves only a smile.
