Below is a copy of the offer I posted on Conch-L April 21, 2006.
I received many expressions of interest. I asked that those seriously
interested confirm their requests. Of the confirmations I received, I was
able to send vials to 15 respondents. I basically sent vials in the order
confirmations were received. There were also several "late" requests. I
believe I replied to everyone, but just in case I missed someone, I wanted
to let you know I've distributed all the material I had. I received many
courteous emails and generous offers of reciprocity. I'm sorry I had to
disappoint some. However, I'm sure I'll have more material in the future.
This was my fourth offer of micros and the experiences have been worthwhile.
"For the past few years I've offered vials of west Florida micros to those
interested. I've now got surplus material from the Florida Keys. Domestic
collectors only. These shells are preserved in isopropyl alcohol. A vial
normally contains 70-90 shells and a few dozen species. They become
available as I examine the material stored in the freezer.
If you are interested contact me directly at [log in to unmask] If you do
not hear from me promptly in reply, be patient. I'll get back to you as I
can."
