Dear List

I received this question :
"Do you prefer use of Conus recurvus Broderip, 1836 or Conus emarginatus
Kiener 1845 for that species. Its seems lately I'm seeing C emarginatus,
but can't find where it has been "officialy" changed, and the pics I'm
seeing as C emarginatus were definately the "old" C. recurvus as in
Keen's book. Keen synonimizes recurvus and emarginatus, but Filmer says
its a replacement name for C. arcuatus, clearly a different shell.
Thoughts?"

Thanks in advance!
I'll collect your answers if you have, and give them to the owner of
these problematic cones.

Olivier Caro
