Yeah, there are several species of the African genus Achatina which surpass
150mm, A. reticulata, and A. achatina reach 9 inches (about 230mm). Then there
are the South American Megalobulimus and Strophocheilus...I have 2 M.
popelairianus which measure
150 and 160mm respectively (I'm told that it gets even larger...). Still
looking for those nine inch Achatinas!
