Hi Jim,
Both species are common on the south shore of Cape Cod, and here in Rhode
Island, with B. canaliculatum being the more common. They can be purchased by
the bushel in any seafood store locally, and are commonly used as bait for
lobster traps, and for charter fishing boats which do bottom fishing for cod,
flounder, etc.
