Dear Bill, I saw this species in Abbot and Sanstroms Seashells of North
America,
page 45. It is an illustration of a typical shell label, and on it, clear
as day, it says Conus sonnei. It may be a mistake, but I don't know why
they would write it twice,
on the sample label and in the notebook picture, unless they just made it
up, which I doubt. Anyway, I thank you for your help!
