Subject: mollusca unknown mytilids

Hi,

I was wondering if there is any "Mytilid" (bivalve - mussel) expert
out there who might be able to help me identify shells to the species
level. I am having trouble in the identification based on mussel
scars. They were collected recently from the Gulf of Mexico just
south of Texas. We would like to know what species we are dealing
with, so if anyone can help, even if I have to send them away for a
positive ID, that would be alright.

Thanks,

John Brake
