We have received word from Ellis Cross that he died yesterday morning.

Ellis was an outstanding editor of Hawaiian Shell News for many years
and saw its rise in readership climb amazingly.  Many of you will be
familiar with his editing and his articles.  He was a master diver of
considerable fame and long-time writer for diving magazines.

If anyone has personal comments to add to an obituary, I would
appreciate them, though I knew Ellis well over many years.
