publisher, bookseller and collector of Mollusca
His most important publication, published by himself, was:

Anton, H.E., 1839 [= 1838!]. Verzeichniss der Conchylien welche sich in der
Sammlung von Hermann Eduard Anton befinden. Eduard Anton, Halle. Pp.xvi +
110.

Another publication with new taxa is:

Anton, [H.E.], 1837. Diagnosen einiger neuen Conchylien-Arten. - Archiv für
Naturgeschichte, 3, band 1: 281-286.

His collection including typematerial is in the Staatliches Museum für
Tierkunde at Dresden.
