Having served in the Royal Navy for a number of years and spent quite some
time at sea. My imagination has always been fired by pelagic life especially
sea birds. 100's of miles out at sea one would sea fantastic birds swooping
over the waves. The first time I saw an albatross really blew my mind!

Anyway to get back to shell related topics. Thanks to Henk I have been put
on the right path with reference to Janthina. Even though some of the
species I thought were different are not they have come from different
parts of the world and are all the better for it. I am pleased to have them.
The Recluzia that I have from Oz are also wonderful. Are there any other
species of pelagic shells that I could add to my collection?

Many thanks to all of you who are making life so interesting.

Ed
