Dear people,

After my request last month Masashi Yamaguchi was so kind to send me some
shells from Japan. In amongst these, I found a cowrie called Cypraea
artuffeli Jousseaume. Hang on, C. artuffeli? Some german speakers may start
to get the idea here. Was there really ever a person called Artuffel or did
Jousseaume make this up because he thought the shell looked like a potato?
Any ideas?

Patty
