There is good evidence that Babelomurex along with Coralliophila, Rapa,
"Echinolatiaxis", Latiaxis (S.s.), Quoyula, etc... form a relatively
homogeneous group. They all :
have a similar protoconch, lack a radula, share some anotomical features in
the foregut, and all species whose ecology is known feed on corals.
According to the last (published and unpublished) molecular data they are a
subfamily (Coralliophilinae) of Muricidae, with tigth relationship with the
Rapaninae (s.l.).
Thus, Yes: Babelomurex is a coralliophiline.
