I never took the Conch Republic (Key West) serious. But out of this came
some interesting souvenirs. Flags are still available depicting the Queen
Conch (Strombus gigas), as well as various other items. There were even
some stamps issued (no postal validity however) with special cancels for the
first day covers. I have a couple of these covers. For anyone interested
in seeing one of these covers, I can scan it in and send the image to you.

Subject: Florida Keys Conch Republic

Hello,

I have seen somewhere a flag that stands for the Florida Keys Conch
Republic (or so it is said) Is this something serious or is it just a joke?

Best wishes,
